Role Purpose
The Events & Safety Manager reports to the Head of Events and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering national competitions, championships, and key events across Surf Life Saving Great Britain.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and deliver events from start to finish, ensuring safe, professional, and efficient execution.
* Oversee logistics, safety, and safeguarding across all event locations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, local clubs, and stakeholders.
* Manage budgeting, sponsorship, and income generation for events.
* Lead marketing, promotion, and sponsorship initiatives to grow event participation and revenue.
* Ensure all events deliver a high-quality experience for athletes, officials, volunteers, clubs, and spectators.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated, mission‑driven professional with a proven track record in event management. Key qualifications include:
* Strong project management and relationship‑building skills.
* Committed to safety, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
* Experience delivering large‑scale sporting or community events.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
