Qualified EMHP Post in Oldham MHST. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of The Oldham Mental Health Support Team (MHST).
Delivering evidence-based CBT interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in education settings.
We welcome applications from qualified EMHPs, and Trainee EMHPs who are due to finish their training in January 2025.
Responsibilities
* Deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
* Develop skills in supporting children and young people, their parents/carers, families and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
* Develop and practice evidence-based skills and work in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators in the development of treatment plans for the specific intervention and agreeing outcomes.
* Work in collaboration with children and young people and where appropriate parents/carers to formulate and develop agreed treatment plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Successful completion of the 1-year Post Graduate Certificate 'Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)' course is required for shortlisting.
* We welcome qualified EMHPs and Trainee EMHPs who are due to finish their training in January 2025.
* You must have registration as an EMHP or have an in-progress application for registration as an EMHP with BABCP or BPS. This will be verified at interview and during pre-employment checks.
* Experience in mental health and the ability to provide low-intensity, evidenced-based CBT interventions with a passion for young person-centred practice.
