About the Role
We are looking for Experienced Social Workers who are confident, passionate, and committed to excellence in social work practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our supportive and dynamic Children & Families Service at Swindon.
As an experienced practitioner, you'll play a critical role in shaping positive outcomes for children and young people in Swindon. You'll manage complex caseloads, act as a role model for best practice, and provide leadership, mentoring and support to junior colleagues and newly qualified social workers.
Key Responsibilities
* Holding a complex caseload, including child protection, court proceedings, and children in care. Undertaking comprehensive assessments and producing high-quality reports for a range of statutory functions.
* Working autonomously while collaborating closely with a wide range of professionals and agencies.
* Acting as the lead professional in multi‑agency settings, contributing to planning, reviews and case conferences.
* Supporting and mentoring NQSWs, students, and junior staff members.
* Promoting evidence‑based practice, modelling good practice, and contributing to service improvement and innovation.
* Making professional judgements in high‑risk, high‑complexity cases, ensuring child safety and well‑being.
