Overview
Powys Teaching Health Board's Community Dental Service is seeking to appoint a Senior Dental Officer to a salaried General Dental Practitioner (GDP) position from April 2026. The base location is to be confirmed but will be situated in the Llandrindod Wells/Mid Wales area.
Responsibilities
* Provide general dental services and a full range of level 1 complexity procedures, with the ability to manage patients with urgent dental problems.
* Assist with caseload management and eligibility for a performer number.
* Provide support to the associate dental director and assistant clinical director in delivering the managed practice element of Powys Community Dental Service.
* Have access to modern equipment and materials as part of a forward-thinking service.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Applicants must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and hold the appropriate qualifications required for this post.
* Eligibility for a performer number is essential, including the ability to manage caseloads.
Role Details
* This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week); part-time consideration will be entertained. The ability to travel across sites is essential.
* Applicants must be able to travel across sites and be willing to work across locations within the Powys region.
