Bookkeeper and Office Administrator

£33-40,000 per annumA successful Swansea-based business is recruiting for a standalone Bookkeeper and Office Administrator. This is a fully office-based role in a friendly, out‑of‑town location.You'll take ownership of day‑to‑day finance and office operations, covering bookkeeping, financial administration, and import/export logistics. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, highly organised, and comfortable improving and streamlining processes.Key Responsibilities
Manage purchase and sales ledgers
Process international payments
Monitor and reconcile overseas bank accounts
Liaise with HMRC and handle VAT returns
Credit control and debt management
Post journals, accruals, and prepayments
General HR administration, including attendance and annual leave tracking
Oversee office management and administration
Coordinate with freight forwarders and manage import/export documentation
Review invoices to ensure correct VAT and tax treatment
About You
Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally with SAGE
Good Excel skills; e‑commerce experience is an advantage
Confident, working autonomously and taking initiative
Comfortable managing a broad mix of finance and administrative duties
