Join our dynamic Fleet team in Newcastle as a Fleet Underwriting Support Specialist, providing essential support to Commercial Motor Underwriters, Brokers, and corporate clients. You'll handle policy documentation and admin throughout the policy lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and excellent service across multiple communication channels. This hybrid role offers flexibility with a minimum of 8 office days per month, free on-site parking, and salary of £25,000. Role Responsibilities * Complete all renewal prep work within the policy pre-renewal period using ANDI-UK systems to update and prepare consolidated policy and claims data for Underwriters, enabling timely policy invited terms, renewal of the policy following internal procedures. * Produce policy documents, certificates, and mandatory paperwork for New Business and Renewals within FCA guidelines, maintaining service levels aligned with the Commercial Motor business plan. * Make policy and premium adjustments as needed, updating records and issuing new certificates or endorsements promptly to meet client needs and service standards. * Organise broker adjustment data, often fragmented, into clear declaration changes, processing and collecting revised premiums efficiently. * Manage Fleet Credit Control, including preparing and reconciling broker statements, allocating payments, setting up direct debit plans, and chasing overdue payments for broker accounts ranging from £200k to £24M. * Maintain accurate renewal control data, proactively chasing due renewals to ensure policies are renewed or lapsed as appropriate. * Handle daily admin tasks related to underwriting business, such as file structuring, scanning, and quote logging, ensuring accuracy and timely completion to meet business goals. * Provide excellent customer service by managing inbound/outbound calls, emails, and messages from underwriters and brokers, following up on unresolved queries until fully resolved. * Act as the main contact for insureds needing assistance with the Fleet vehicle MID extranet application. * Ensure timely daily uploads of policy extracts to the MID extranet, meeting required supply standards. Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications * Experience in insurance, providing technical and administrative support. * Skilled in new business processing, policy adjustments, renewals, and issuance. * Strong verbal and numerical reasoning abilities. * Proactive, resourceful, and good at problem-solving. * Detail-oriented with a methodical approach, meeting agreed SLA deadlines. * Eager to develop skills and grow both individually and as part of a team. * Trustworthy, approachable, and maintains confidentiality at all times. * Motivated to meet monthly SLA targets and daily/weekly deadlines. * Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
