Gleeds Data Centres is recruiting ambitious and innovative Quantity Surveyors to join one of the fastest growing sectors reshaping the construction industry.

Responsibilities
* Management of contracts from inception (pre-contract support e.g., tender evaluation) to completion (post-contract support)
* Operating with NEC form of Contract such as Option A, B, C and E as well as bespoke forms of contract
* Leading client engagement to ensure delivery to specification and budget, while identifying contract improvements
* Stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of projects
* Issuing and reviewing early warning notices
* Pricing and assessing compensation events
* Develop and maintain cost accrual and forecast reports
* Report to senior managers on cost data, progress, and assumptions with clarity and impact
* Managing contractor and subcontractor accounts
* Updating risk registers and reviewing programmes
* Issuing payment certificates and valuation assessments
* Mentoring junior team members
What we are looking for in our next Quantity Surveyor
* Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management; experience in regulated environments such as Data Centres, Life sciences, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, Infrastructure or Petrochemical sectors is essential
* Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost and Commercial Management – ideally both pre and post contract
* Experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite of contracts
* Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar; or applicants with an alternative background (e.g., Engineering) may be considered
* Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable
* Personal and communication skills, ambition, drive and energy are important for success
