Responsibilities
* Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes.
* Perform welding tasks on sheet metal and other materials as required.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to prepare materials for welding.
* Inspect finished welds for quality and adherence to specifications.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Skills
* Proficient in MIG welding techniques with experience in stick welding as an advantage.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
* Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
