The Opportunity The Procurement Manager will be joining Beyond Housing at a pivotal time as they refresh and relaunch their 5-year strategic plan, a crucial period in which to drive long-lasting improvements and change. The Procurement Manager will be focused upon: Raising the profile of the Procurement Team providing greater visibility/guidance around supplier management, driving efficiencies Reviewing, reshaping and implementing procurement/contract management best practice, process and procedures, delivering a strategic service to multifunctional stakeholders Leading and supporting a multisite team, maintaining compliant tendering and procurement activity to drive better value for money Overseeing sourcing/procurement for key projects and services, building collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders alike Business partnering, supporting and training contract managers, enabling more effective contract management and facilitating improved contract performance About You The successful Procurement Manager will have/be: Proven track record at Senior Procurement level within the Public Sector - Knowledgeable in PCR15/PA23 Experienced in implementing new strategies, policies, and procedures Proven track record in creating and executing sourcing strategies and contracts, ensuring social value Commercially astute, excellent negotiation skills Continuous improvement mindset, confident to challenge the status quo, solutions-focused Understanding of contract law and capable of drafting contracts with minimal legal support Proficient leader, mentor and manager Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, supplier management and relationship building skills Strengths in project management
