Role Overview
Eco Providers is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Department, reporting directly to the Head of Energy Solutions.
This is a senior-level commercial leadership role responsible for managing the financial and contractual success of our domestic energy efficiency and retrofit projects, delivered across multiple funding streams including government-backed schemes.
The successful candidate will take ownership of commercial strategy, cost control, funding compliance, procurement oversight, and final account management across a portfolio of projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial management of multiple domestic energy efficiency and retrofit projects
* Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cost value reconciliations (CVR)
* Provide commercial reporting and forecasting directly to the Head of Energy Solutions
* Lead procurement processes including tender analysis, benchmarking, and contractor selection
* Negotiate contract terms, variations, and final accounts
* Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
* Ensure projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and within budget
* Provide mentoring and commercial guidance to junior staff where appropriate
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience, including senior-level responsibility
* Professional qualification (HNC/HND/Diploma/Degree or equivalent)
* Experience within domestic energy efficiency, retrofit, or publicly funded construction programmes
* Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and framework agreements
* Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects
* Excellent negotiation, reporting, and financial forecasting skills
Desirable
* Experience with ECO, SHDF, LAD, HUG or similar funding frameworks
* Knowledge of PAS 2035 compliance and retrofit delivery models
* Membership of (or working towards) RICS or CIOB
