About the Role
A leading college in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will be supporting learners across Entry to Level 2 programmes, promoting independence, confidence, and progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated sessions for learners with diverse SEN needs
* Create and implement individual learning plans (ILPs)
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and curriculum teams
* Monitor learner progress and complete relevant assessments and reports
* Contribute to EHCP reviews and inclusive learning strategies
* Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience teaching or supporting learners with SEN in a FE or specialist provision
* Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD/MLD or complex needs
* Ability to plan differentiated lessons and support personalised learning
* Excellent communication and behaviour-support skills
Qualifications (any of the following welcome):
We welcome applicants with a variety of UK teaching qualifications, including (but not limited to):
* QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, DET, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training, or equivalent
* Additional SEN qualifications or training (e.g., Autism, Makaton, Inclusive Learning) are highly desirable
