Sewell Wallis is recruiting on behalf of the public sector for a Head of Finance role, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This role will be a key leadership role in providing strategic development of the financial arrangements of the organisation from multiple revenue streams and funding, whilst developing the finance team. What will you be doing? As the Head of Finance: You will prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets to senior management, board and government departments. Oversee annual accounts, external audit, procurement and commercial policy compliance Act as the main contact and maintain relationships with auditors, bankers and the Department of Education Lead the production of the annual report and accounts for the organisation Lead and inspire the finance team to drive engagement and continuous improvementWhat skills are we looking for? Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIPFA, ACCA or CIMA) with senior-level experience Proven leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams Strong strategic thinker with the ability to deliver operational excellence Skilled in budgeting, costing models and financial analysis Excellent communicator with strong collaboration skills and commitment to inclusionWhat's on offer?
