We are seeking a Corporate Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join our corporate headquarters in Warrington, with occasional travel to other sites.
The role:
* Support all Tradebe UK sites on E, C & I aspects.
* Design, improve, and engineer control systems.
* Diagnose control issues and optimize plant throughput.
* Lead functional safety management plans for Tradebe UK sites.
* Lead EC&I development projects across multiple sites and advise site engineering teams.
Principal duties:
* Implement common control system strategies across all UK sites.
* Advise on control and instrumentation techniques to improve safety, compliance, operability, maintainability, or profitability.
* Lead development and implementation of functional safety for UK sites.
* Manage functional safety across sites.
* Ensure legal compliance with authorities and regulatory bodies.
* Design and respond to Functional Safety Performance Indicators.
* Share learning and improvements on functional safety between sites.
The person:
To succeed, you should:
* Stay updated on legislative and technical changes affecting the business, reporting relevant issues with recommendations.
* Conduct site audits to monitor performance against standards.
* Identify non-compliance issues and suggest improvements.
* Assist in developing new plant and process control strategies, including equipment and supplier selection and cost estimation.
* Design and install new projects ensuring compliance with standards.
* Develop effective design solutions for process and production needs.
* Provide regular progress reports.
* Support and share knowledge on functional safety engineering.
* Oversee power systems across various sites, including hazardous and safe areas.
