VIQU have partnered with a leading UK systems integrator in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Lead Power Systems Engineer for Substation Design. You?ll play a key role in delivering complex Protection & Control solutions across Transmission and Distribution projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
? Lead the technical design and delivery of Protection & Control systems.
? Develop SLDs, KLDs, architecture diagrams, and concept designs.
? Conduct site surveys and provide technical input for tenders.
? Produce and review schematics, layouts, calculations, and schedules.
? Chair design workshops and interface with clients and stakeholders.
? Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to required standards.
Key Requirements:
? Strong background in Protection & Control within Transmission & Distribution.
? Knowledge of key technologies and vendors.
? Hands-on experience with IEC61850 and related field implementation.
? Understanding of communications, substation protocols, and Cyber Security requirements.
? Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
? Excellent communication and leadership skills.
? Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when needed
