Responsibilities
The Service Leader oversees a service in Elgin that supports 17 individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs. The role involves ensuring person‑centred care, championing the “Best Life Possible” vision, and keeping the voices of people supported at the forefront of decision‑making.
You will build excellent working relationships with key partners, including people supported, their loved ones, health and social work colleagues and internal departments. You will work centrally on a personalised care, positive behaviour support (PBS) and active support model. Candidates with proven commitment to these values‑driven approaches are welcomed.
Day‑to‑day duties include: developing dynamic care plans, auditing and managing quality‑assurance systems, understanding positive risk taking, managing resources, and reporting directly to the Regional Manager. You may also support other services and leaders, and work flexibly where required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered with SSSC or an equivalent registration; if not already registered, required to register.
* Must hold or undertake an SVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification, SVQ Level 3 with supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England).
* Previous experience managing services and teams within a social care setting.
* Experience in a health or social care setting.
* Knowledge of PBS and active support model.
* Comfortable using basic IT systems; training is provided.
* Professional qualification such as nursing, social work or equivalent.
