Pay Scale: £450.00-£500.00/ week
A friendly and community focused primary school in Oxford are seeking a new SEN Teaching Assistant to join their learning support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain extensive, hands-on experience supporting primary aged pupils who require extra assistance in their education.
As part of the role, you will be encountering a wide range of needs, including: ASD, ADHD, GDD, physical and mental disabilities as well as other complex needs. Therefore, the ideal psychology graduate candidate should be confident in supporting special educational needs.
Key responsibilities of the psychology graduate role:
* Using effective behaviour management strategies
* Supporting the class teacher during lesson time
* Building positive relationships with parents and carers
* Individualising activities to suit specific needs
* Liaising with the SENCo and class teacher to report feedback and learning progress
