Are you a kind, patient carer who takes pride in supporting others with their daily routines and household needs? We are looking for a compassionate Carer to support an elderly client requiring some personal care, medication support and domestic assistance in TN16 1HU.
The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through personalised support and practical assistance. This paid role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life while developing your skills within the caring profession.
Hours: 9am to 10am & 5pm to 6pm(flexible),
Monday - Sunday
The Role
* Assist the client with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Support with medication administration following prescribed care plans
* Prepare light, nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
* Assist with general domestic duties including cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe home environment
* Monitor and record health status or any changes in condition
* Provide emotional support and companionship to minimise feelings of loneliness or isolation
* Follow care plans accurately and update records as required
* Recognise and respond appropriately to medical concerns using first aid skills when necessary
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and case managers to deliver holistic care
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in care environments is essential
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures
* Good communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for building trusting relationships with clients
* Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and respectful approach
* Excellent organisational skills in managing care plans and documentation
* Experience in domiciliary care, personal care or support work
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when required
* First aid certification highly desirable (training can be provided if necessary)
