Our Outstanding School in Mirfield are now looking for an experienced Class Teacher to join the dedicated and well-established team on a full-time basis.
Key aspects of your role will include:
1. Identifying needs, assessing levels of ability and planning sessions which will meet the requirements of the children and develop their learning.
2. Effectively delivering the personalised curriculum ensuring that the individual needs and interests of the children in the setting are met and supporting other team members to do this.
3. Supporting the children throughout the day in order to develop independence, facilitate participation and learning, and develop physical and communication skills.
4. Contributing towards designing and managing a varied and balanced curriculum to meet the needs of every student within the resources available, in accordance with the mission and ethos of the school.
5. To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for young children with a wide range of disabilities to develop a degree of independence and to improve quality of life.

8. Have previous experience of working with children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.
9. Have a deep understanding of, and be committed to, the safeguarding of children and young people.
10. Have a positive approach to working alongside families and carers.
