Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a leading, highly regulated manufacturer in Sheffield to recruit a Senior Quality Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive quality professional who thrives in a customer‑focused, technically demanding environment. You’ll play a key role in driving product and process quality, working closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams — ensuring world‑class standards from new product introduction through to ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Act as a key liaison for customers, managing quality issues and ensuring clear communication of requirements.
* Lead root cause investigations and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Support APQP and QMS deliverables, including FMEA, validation, and risk analysis.
* Plan and execute process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and assess process capability.
* Develop inspection criteria, sampling plans, and gauging methods aligned with customer requirements.
* Analyse and present data using statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, Pareto, and regression analysis.
* Conduct training on quality procedures, standards, and work instructions.
* Perform internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
What we’re looking for
* Degree or recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
* Proven experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical, aerospace, or automotive preferred).
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, SPC, DOE).
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or QSR compliance.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong cross‑functional and customer relationships.
* Detail‑oriented, data‑driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
