Diagnostic Vehicle Technician Required in Croydon.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our client’s dealership in Croydon, Surrey. This well-established, manufacturer-owned dealership offers a supportive environment for skilled technicians looking to develop their careers.
Salary & Benefits for the Diagnostic Technician:
1. Basic salary up to £37,500, with OTE reaching £44,000
2. Sign-On Bonus: £1,500 including:£750 on joining£250 upon brand accreditation £500 after 12 months of service
3. Additional basic pay per month for MOT-qualified technicians
4. Company Car Scheme: Access up to two company-branded vehicles, including insurance, servicing, breakdown, and tyre cover
5. Performance-based bonuses and rewards
6. Generous pension contributions up to 7%
7. 42.5-hour week Monday - Friday, with Saturdays on a 1 in 3 morning rota
8. Holidays starting at 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service

Role Summary: As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards. Using specialised diagnostic tools, you will identify issues and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities for the Diagnostic Technician:
10. Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems
11. Perform repairs, servicing, and inspections
12. Use diagnostic equipment efficiently and accurately
13. Maintain detailed records of all work performed
14. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality customer service
15. Follow safety standards and maintain a clean working environment
Candidate Profile of the Diagnostic Technician:
16. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
17. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
18. Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
19. Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
20. Good communication skills and a professional attitude
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
22. MOT qualification is advantageous
