We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Manager, working Mon to Fri 7am to 4pm, to be based at our site in Redhill, supporting our Pasquill Timber contract.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £46,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Support the General Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
2. Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
3. Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment
4. Provide leadership and guidance for the Transport team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication
What you need to succeed at XPO:
5. Management CPC is essential
6. Class 2 LGV licence holder - Desireable NOT essential
7. It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet
8. Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a transport environment
9. Every day you’ll need to have an eye on continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance - do you have a track record of improving things?
