About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be heavily involved in the creation and enhancement of new and existing systems and applications, collaborating with architects and stakeholders to design, architect, and deploy scalable, reliable and secure technology platforms on Microsoft Azure and GCP.
Responsibilities
* Drive development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions and centralised modules using Terraform.
* Automate provisioning and management of platform resources, ensuring consistent deployment of PaaS-based resources such as serverless functions, databases and containers.
* Implement monitoring and alerting to proactively resolve issues, ensuring all infrastructure adheres to security best practices.
* Manage platform stability and availability.
* Act as a crucial point of escalation, mentor junior team members and lead resolution of major issues.
* Participate in incident response, disaster recovery efforts and collaborate with other technology teams for seamless integration.
Qualifications
You are an experienced and proactive engineer with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure & networking architecture, automation, and security. You are confident in scoping, designing, and planning large, complex projects, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions. You excel at managing stakeholder expectations and communicating clearly with senior management. As a senior figure, you are a natural mentor, capable of coaching junior team members, developing standards and acting as a subject matter expert.
