Overview
Band 2 Receptionist (CAT 1 - Head and Neck). This is a full-time post for 37.5 hours per week. The post will include working shifts between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. This role is split over two Hospital sites: the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and Townlands Hospital in Henley-on-Thames. The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Head and Neck Directorate, seeks a passionate, enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to join our Reception teams.
Responsibilities
* Perform complex administrative functions; receive patients and visitors attending outpatient clinics; take ownership of escalated administrative issues where appropriate.
* Work in close partnership with medical, nursing and secretarial staff to ensure the smooth running of the outpatients department.
* Welcome patients into the departments; prepare patient files for clinic appointments; be the first point of contact for patients attending Clinic; arrange follow-up appointments before they leave the department; perform other administrative duties.
* Multitask under challenging and busy conditions with strong customer service skills.
