We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Lecturer in French to join our curriculum team at Cadbury College on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and deliver high‑quality teaching in a supportive and forward‑thinking learning environment.
As a Lecturer in French, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons that enable students to develop their language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will play a key role in supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and progress to further study or employment.
You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and continuous improvement, while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high‑quality French lessons across relevant programmes
* Develop engaging teaching materials and resources
* Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
* Monitor and track student progress to support achievement
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
* Act as a personal tutor, supporting students academically and pastorally
* Maintain accurate academic and administrative records
* Participate in team meetings, CPD, and college events
Essential
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Degree in French or a related subject
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* Experience teaching French at Level 2/3 (e.g. GCSE or A Level)
* Experience delivering high‑quality teaching and learning at Level 3
* Strong subject knowledge and fluency in French
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire students
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding
Desirable
* Experience working in a Further Education setting
* Knowledge of current curriculum and assessment practices
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 - £48,160), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
* DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* Certificate in Education
* PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education)
* DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
* DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).

* CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
