Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Engineer (Commissioning) to join our utilities arm of Kier called Natural Resources, working hybrid from home, office, and across sites in the Thames Valley region.
Location: Hybrid work from home, office, and sites in Thames Valley, initially focusing on Harpenden.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.
Responsibilities
* Own and ensure commissioning documentation is completed and available on the Common Data Environment, including FAT, SAT, outage management plans, and ITPs.
* Develop the Design Commissioning Plan in collaboration with the Client commissioning representatives.
* Review and sign off project ITPs, managing them through Kier’s common data environment.
* Work with onsite supply chain to fault find and ensure activities are completed safely and on schedule.
* Lead the reliability and performance testing, producing and accepting reports demonstrating compliance with Client objectives.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in a similar commissioning role in Mechanical and Electrical plant within the Water Industry.
* BEng, ONC, HNC, BTEC qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
* Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant/equipment.
