Information: Position: Loading Bay & Post Room Officer Location: Reading Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour Hours: 60 hours per week Shifts: Monday to Friday - Days Job Requirements: SIA Door Supervisor Licence required. Must have 5* Corporate Security, Loading Bay and Post Handling Experience Must be Physically Fit to be able to fulfil the role Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service at all times Loading bay and customer service experience Must have an excellent command of English Language & Good IT Skills Reliable, Responsible and Punctual A friendly, professional, courteous, and outgoing character To take pride in your appearance at all times, ensuring immaculate presentation Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site. First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence are desirable Job Requirements: Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users. Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner Physically fit to fulfil all parts of the role and able to lift and move items throughout the day Confident in dealing with Contractors / Delivery Drivers Confident in writing incident and shift reports To always portray a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language. To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service at all times ensuring that their expectations ar e met, if not exceeded. Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use various systems The role includes you to conduct the collection and movement of deliveries and post but can also include assisting the rest of the building with opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures. Participate and contribute positively to the security team Always respond to all incidents in a prompt and effective manner to safeguard the wellbeing of occupiers, visitors and assets of the customer ensuring that direction from line management is sought where appropriate. Manage a polite and effective meet and greet service to all staff and visitors Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Line Management. Able to stand for extended periods of time.
