Benchmark International is the UK's market leading Merger & Acquisitions specialist, handling company sales across all areas of both the SME and corporate mid-markets.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established organisation and become an integral member of our Transactions Team.
We are seeking a driven, motivated business professional for our Research Analyst role, based in Manchester city centre office, to become part of our highly successful central operations office.
The Research Analyst role involves identifying appropriate potential acquirers for companies Benchmark International is selling (our clients), and requires thorough market research using our wide range of M&A sources. The candidate will need to work closely with the other members of the Corporate Finance team to derive the parameters of the search and review and discuss output of the analysis.
Whilst previous industry experience is not required, as full training will be provided, experience in a research related role would be beneficial. The role would be ideally suited to an individual with an interest in corporate finance and the wider business world.
Key Competencies:
* Ability to collect and analyse information, problem solve and make decisions.
* Highly computer literate; experience of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel essential.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
* Good numeracy skills and able to analyse and interpret financial information.
* Excellent telephone skills/ manner and good relationship-building abilities.
* Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task, managing several projects at once.
* Liaising with internal departments at Director/Shareholder level.
* Other general administrative duties, as required.

* OTE £27.5k - £30k (subject to experience).
* Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm (5pm on Fridays), 1 hour lunch break.
