Role: Residential Conveyancing Team Leader / Senior Conveyancer Location: Leicester Salary: Competitive Permanent, Full-Time We’re looking for a Senior Conveyancer / Team Leader An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to lead and develop a growing Conveyancing team within a highly regarded regional law firm based in Leicester. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll manage your own caseload while mentoring junior staff and helping shape the team’s continued growth and success. The ideal candidate will be confident, commercially minded, and capable of managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise a small team of conveyancers and support staff, ensuring service quality and compliance. Handle a varied caseload of: Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases (including new builds) Re-mortgages and transfers of equity Shared ownership and equity release matters Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, introducers, and referrers. Oversee case progression to completion while ensuring all work meets regulatory and firm standards. Contribute to business development and departmental growth through client networking and relationship management. The Ideal Candidate: Experienced Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or Solicitor with proven expertise in residential property. Strong leadership skills and previous experience managing a small team. Excellent technical knowledge of residential conveyancing processes and compliance. Confident communicator with excellent client service skills. Organised, proactive, and comfortable working under minimal supervision. Desirable: Previous experience using modern case management systems. Established professional network or referrer relationships within the Leicester or wider East Midlands area. Demonstrable experience of driving business development or team growth.
