Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Ofsted registration process and ensure the homes meets all regulatory requirements from the outset.
* Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children with EBD.
* Recruit, train, and develop a strong, child-focused staff team.
* Develop and implement care plans in line with individual needs and therapeutic approaches.
* Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and promote a strong safeguarding culture.
* Build strong working relationships with local authorities, external agencies, families, and the wider community.
* Lead inspections and respond effectively to feedback from Ofsted and other governing bodies.
* Provide inspirational leadership and clear direction to the care team
Essential Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within a children’s residential setting.
* At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role within a similar setting.
* A strong understanding of EBD and the associated behavioural and emotional needs.
* Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
* Experience managing safeguarding concerns and complex cases.
* Sound knowledge of the Ofsted framework and Children’s Homes Regulations
