Role Description


This is a full-time, on-site role based in Knutsford.


The Legal Manager will oversee day-to-day legal operations, providing guidance on matters across the firm’s practice areas and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities include managing and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence, as well as supervising legal document preparation and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role involves advising clients and internal stakeholders, coordinating legal affairs for ongoing matters, and supporting strategic decision-making with clear legal analysis.


You will need to report, and manage, up and down on operational performance across different disciplines.


The Legal Manager will manage workflows, mentor junior team members, and liaise with external parties such as regulators, counterparties, and other advisors. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Knutsford.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years' PQE as a solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Knutsford and collaborating with colleagues and clients in person.
  • Management experience in a legal environment.
  • Ability to report and manage up and down on operational performance across different disciplines.
  • Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and case law.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and formal correspondence.
  • Experience in Legal Consulting, providing clear, practical advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Legal Compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and risk-management frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proven capability to lead, mentor, and support a legal team in a fast-paced environment.
