Project Manager - Derby
My client is a leading contractor specialising in electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering installations across the UK. With a strong presence in the Midlands, London, and the South, they deliver high-quality engineering solutions in the water sector. We are looking for experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee water treatment projects in the Severn Trent Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and milestones. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control. Collaborate with the finance team to track project expenses and report financial status regularly.
- Provide technical leadership in mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering aspects of water treatment projects. Work closely with engineering teams to review design specifications, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental standards. Oversee quality assurance protocols to maintain the highest standards of project delivery.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all project activities adhere to company and industry safety standards.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 6 or Equivalent in a relevant field.
- Temporary Works Coordinator
- Lifting AP
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the water treatment industry, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, systems, and equipment.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the water treatment industry.
