We are working with a scaling technology firm who are now hiring new Data Privacy Counsel for the UK.
The have just completed first round of series A funding with a £20 million investment through a venture capitalist.
What you will be doing:
* Provide legal advice and guidance to our product and engineering teams, ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations.
* Review and negotiate contracts and agreements, including privacy policies, terms of service, and intellectual property licenses.
* Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics affecting the company's products and operations.
* Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to legal and compliance matters.
Your experience:
* Law degree from an accredited university and admission to practice law.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the technology industry.
* 2+ PQE with top tier international law firm experience or Tier-1 tech company.
* Strong knowledge of EU and international laws and regulations related to online safety, child privacy, and data protection (e.g. GDPR, COPPA).
* Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements.
* Knowledge of intellectual property laws and licensing agreements is a plus.
