What does a Splicer 2/C do?
8. Under general supervision to perform all work involved in distribution or transmission cable maintenance, construction and repair on primary and high tension cables when not extremely complicated; to do complicated jobs under supervision; to assist a Splicer - First Class; to direct the work of other employees helping him/her and to do related work as assigned.
What does it take to be a Splicer 2/C?
Required:
9. Evidence of successful completion of the requirements for graduation from High School or an Equivalency Diploma and at least four year's experience as a Splicer or equivalent.
10. Must have a thorough knowledge of all Company cable and underground practices and standards
11. Must know the general layout and characteristics of the underground distribution and transmission system
12. Must be able to work on energized conductors
13. Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers Class A
14. Must maintain a valid Commercial Drivers Class A restricted (truck/trailer combo only - O restriction) license and obtain the metal coil endorsement within 12 months of entering the classification
15. Evidence of physical fitness shall be required and at the Company's option must be demonstrated by medical examination by a doctor selected by the Company
16. Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
17. Understand checking, phasing and phase rotation on polyphase circuits
18. Ability to connect polyphase transformer installations

Pay range: $50.39-$52.79/hour
