SEN Teaching Assistant Salary: £24,570 - £25,935 * Per Year Working Hours: 37.5hrs-Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30pm Location: Bromsgrove B60 School Staffing Solutions are recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant for a SEN school in Bromsgrove. This OUTSTANDING School has two locations and it is the Bromsgrove Site where this role is based. This site caters to students aged 14 -19 with special educational needs, primarily related to Autism. The school provides a safe, low-sensory environment alongside an ambitious curriculum that includes a range of GCSEs and enrichment opportunities. Key Responsibilities Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting support to individual needs under teacher guidance. Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches. Help manage behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct. Encourage pupil engagement and independence in learning tasks Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources. Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment. Requirements Relevant education or training; willingness to undertake further professional development. Experience supporting pupils in an educational or care setting. 2 years experience working with pupils with SEND and complex needs Awareness of safeguarding, behaviour management, and SEND principles. Ability to support teaching and learning effectively under supervision Commitment to professional conduct and safeguarding as per the Staff Code of Conduct. Patience, empathy, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
