Housing | Outside IR35 | Hybrid Working | NEC Trainer | £400+ a day | 8-Month Contract
A Local Authority is seeking an experienced NEC Housing Systems Trainer to support a major transformation project as the organisation migrates from OHMS to NEC Housing Management Systems (HMS).
This Outside IR35 contract will run from August 2025 to February 2026, with on-site attendance required 1-2 days per week.
The council is currently using OHMS and are under pressure to complete the transition by April 2026, ahead of NEC's end-of-support deadline. The programme is entering a critical phase, with system testing planned from November 2025 to February 2026 and a full training rollout scheduled for February 2026. A dedicated internal team is already in place for Phase 1, covering key service areas such as housing management, rents, allocations, service charges, homelessness, and housing advice. Due to a lack of internal training resources, the council is looking for a specialist NEC Trainer to lead the training workstream.
The trainer will begin by conducting a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) over the first two months, engaging closely with workstream leads and end users to understand role-specific system interactions. From there, they will design and deliver bespoke training content, including 1:1 coaching, group sessions, device-based learning, and potentially E-Learning.
The successful consultant will also be responsible for developing formal training plans and documentation, ensuring staff are fully equipped to use NEC Housing effectively.
