About the Opportunity
Our Water and Environment Operating Unit provides a focus for advising our clients on the sustainable management of the natural water environment using scientific/engineering analysis and design expertise. Our mission is to be a global leader that puts water at the heart of a sustainable society.
To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for experienced civil engineers to join our multi-disciplinary team and provide technical consultancy services to develop successful projects including Strategic Resource Options up to £3 million in value from conception through to delivery, solving problems that matter to our clients and their customers.
It is intended that this post be based in Birmingham and we encourage applications from candidates seeking flexible working, job share or reduced hours’ contracts.
About you
Successful candidates will join a team of over 400 Water Professionals, working on a range of high-profile projects and become a part of a World Leading Company with excellent career prospects. You will be delivering project tasks, designs and working with clients on water and wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure at various stages in the project life cycle, working within our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budget.
Here's What You'll Need:
1. Achieved Incorporated or Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised Professional Institution
2. Strong technical design experience on multi-disciplinary projects with a focus in one or more of the following technical areas: Pipelines; Open Channel Hydraulics Water and/or wastewater networks or treatment works; infrastructure civil engineering including infrastructure developments; drainage and site layout and multi-disciplinary design leadership. Knowledge and experience in leakage will be a plus.
3. Good motivation, influencing and people management skills so that you can lead a team and provide support for developing engineers whilst continuing to develop your own career.
4. Enthusiasm to solve problems and enjoy working as part of a committed project team with the benefits of working in a large multi-national company.
5. Proactive and keens to take ownership of client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business.
6. Good understanding of the CDM requirements.
