Senior Control Systems Engineer Location - GlasgowAre you experienced in PLC and SCADA systems across the full project lifecycle?Do you enjoy working on complex projects within energy and renewables?Looking for a role where you can develop both technically and professionally?What's in it for you:Strong basic salary28 days holiday + bank holidaysHybrid working (2 days from home) with flexible hoursOngoing training and development6.5% pensionLife assurance (4x salary)Private healthcareWhat will you be doing?Designing, developing and implementing PLC and SCADA/DCS systemsWorking across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to deliveryProducing design and test documentation (FDS, DDS, test specifications)Carrying out factory acceptance testing (FAT) with internal teams and clientsModifying and upgrading existing systems, as well as supporting new buildsReviewing and checking technical work produced by othersSupporting and mentoring less experienced engineersWhere you'll be doing it:You'll be joining a well-established engineering business working on control and automation projects across energy, renewables, water and manufacturing sectors. Projects are often within highly regulated environments, focused on improving performance and efficiency at scale.What you'll need:Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell or SchneiderStrong SCADA configuration experience (e.g. WinCC, PCS7, Zenon or similar)Ability to write software to IEC61131 standards (ladder, FBD, ST, SFC)Experience producing technical specifications and project documentationUnderstanding of full project lifecycle and QA processesStrong problem-solving skills and a structured approachWillingness to travel when requiredFull UK driving licenceWe appreciate your CV may not be up to date.
