Role Purpose
To provide high-quality social work services within the Child Protection Team, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children. The role involves assessment, intervention planning, and multi-agency collaboration to safeguard children at risk.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for children requiring protection
* Collaborate with families and multi-agency partners to ensure children’s welfare is prioritised
* Prepare reports and present evidence in court when required
* Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues within the team
* Apply anti-racist and trauma-informed systemic practice principles in daily work
Qualifications
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant child protection experience
* Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks
* Ability to manage a caseload effectively while providing high-quality interventions
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Commitment to anti-racist and trauma-informed practice
