University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) are searching for a motivated and passionate Band 7 MRI Radiographer to join their Department of Clinical & Experimental Epilepsy at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology.

We provide academically led acute and specialist services, to people from the local area, from throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.
Applications are invited for an MRI Research Radiographer, based at The Epilepsy Society MRI Unit at the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy, Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire. The Epilepsy Society works in close collaboration with UCL and UCLH NHS Foundation Trust to provide the world’s foremost clinical and research site looking into the causes, prevention and treatment of Epilepsy and its associated disorders. The MRI Unit is equipped with a 3T GE Discovery 750 MRI scanner which undertakes both clinical and research scans including functional MR imaging.
Last year we performed scanned nearly 2000 patients. The Unit currently operates Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, but this may be subject to review.
The post holder will join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers using a wide variety of MRI techniques, including advanced methods such as DTI, and fMRI, and will receive training in post processing the clinical functional images and some image interpretation.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to data analysis and MRI protocol development.
The post holder will have frequent interaction with a range of staff, patients and healthy volunteers and will be required to work independently at times with support staff.
Requirements:
* Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) or a BSc in Radiography, or equivalent qualification.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Post-qualification MRI experience.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Good inter-personal skills.
* A very high level of care and consideration for patients and research subjects.
* Interest in research are also required.
* Postgraduate qualifications in MRI are desirable.
