Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? We’re looking for dedicated Tutors to join our growing team in Fratton, supporting learners who require alternative provision.
We welcome applicants with a range of experience, including:
1. At least 1 year in a UK school as a Teaching Assistant, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, 1:1 Support, or similar role
2. Experienced career Tutors
You’ll be working with students from EYFS to Post-16, many of whom have SEN, SEMH needs, or EBSA. If you’re confident in planning bespoke, engaging sessions and have a nurturing approach, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Tutor, you will:
3. Plan and deliver bespoke, practical and engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs
4. Build positive relationships with learners to encourage confidence and progress
5. Monitor and report on student progress, adapting plans as needed
About you:
6. Experience supporting learners with additional needs
7. Ability to tailor sessions to individual learning styles
8. A creative and flexible mindset
9. Strong communication and rapport-building skills

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
10. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Trauma informed- desirable
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
11. Hold right to work in the UK
12. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
13. Provide references upon request
14. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
