Contract: Permanent
Salary: £34,000-£37,000 per year, dependent on experience
Shifts: Monday – Sunday between the hours of 8am – 8pm

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our inpatient physical therapy team on a full time basis.

Our Physical Therapy Department at KIMS Hospital is a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Hand Therapists, Women’s Health Specialist and a Consultant Sports Physician to provide exceptional patient care throughout the entire patient journey. We are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team. The individual will play a vital role in the development of therapy services, ensuring a first class service is provided for our patients.
As a Senior Physiotherapist you will assess and treat inpatients and determine independent clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated, and maintain records in accordance with professional standards.
You will be a patient focused Physiotherapist with experience in MSK and Orthopaedics and a demonstrable ability to build relationships with both patients and consultants to provide healthcare at its very best. You will have evidence of your own continued professional development and the desire to mentor junior members of staff.
This is a full-time contract working hours a week to cover a 7 day service. You will work approximately 1 weekend in 4.
Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Physiotherapist, your duties will include:
1. Assessment and treatment of patients based around sound clinical reasoning and application of evidence based practice.
2. Management of an inpatient caseload of Orthopaedic, Gynaecological, Breast Surgery and General Surgical patients. In addition to medical admissions.
3. Assist in the coordination and running of our joint school for pre-surgical hips and knees.
4. Be innovative in methods of care delivery and aid in the effective use of resources to ensure maximum utilisation of skills and knowledge
5. Participate in the development and review of service and professional standards.
Personal Specification
The ideal applicant will:
6. Possess a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
7. Have a valid registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
8. Demonstrate post-registration clinical experience in orthopedics
9. Be able to show evidence of continuous professional development and its application in practice
10. Be 100% patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement with the patient experience the main priority.
