Supplier Quality Specialist (Supplier Quality Systems)

The Boeing Company is currently hiring a Supplier Quality Specialist in the UK.
This role will lead and report audits and assessments of complex suppliers' systems, processes and products, including inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Plan, conduct, document and report audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes and products to determine compliance with Boeing technical and contractual requirements
2. Evaluate supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans, review and support of improvement activities.
3. Actively engage with suppliers to reduce incoming defects causing Boeing factory disruption.
4. Conducts investigations in support of rejected product, notification of escapements, notices of failure.
5. Inspect or verify products of various technologies and commodities for compliance to engineering requirements.
6. Perform regulatory conformity inspections.
7. Assists with assessments of supplier selection, capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
8. Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity
9. Monitors quality improvement initiatives at supplier
10. Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
11. Supports regulatory agency audits (FAA)
12. The role is based fully virtually, supporting Southern UK predominantly

Basic Qualifications (Required Experience/Education/Skill):
13. Prior audit and quality assessments experience in the aerospace industry
14. Working comprehension of the requirements of AS9100 and AS9102
15. Working or have worked at a company or government agency providing parts or services to the aerospace industry
16. Possess knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies
17. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
18. Ability and the technical skills to lead and perform source inspections on various types of hardware and assemblies.
19. Fluent in English in spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Skills):
20. Prior knowledge and/or experience of aerospace electrics / avionics would be an advantage.
21. AS/EN9100 Lead Auditor / Aerospace Auditor (AA) / Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA)
22. Four year college/university degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Metallurgy; Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering or other special process-related degrees
Typical Education/Experience
23. Broad educational experience in the Aerospace Industry, Degree qualified or alternate vocational training
