My well established client is seeking a Service Desk Technician- Tier 1- (training given). This is a full time permanent position.

Salary: c £24k

Benefits: Free on-site parking, Pension scheme, cycle to work scheme after 2 years, recreational room, training and development,

Working hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday. 1 hour lunch. Working outside standard office hours may be required to be able to meet the demands of the role.

Job Overview

As part of the Service Desk Support team, you’ll be involved in responding to customers’ requests for support, gather client information and determine the issue by analysing the symptoms and figuring out the underlying problem.

Based in our offices in Oldbury your duties will include but not be limited to:

* Communicating closely with Account Managers on client issues
* Monitoring proactive systems for offline servers and critical issues
* Monitoring client backup problems / Resolving client backup solution issues
* Troubleshooting Client/Vendor Incident and request, identifying root causes
* Meeting SLAs and Service Desk targets for quality and performance
* Active directory – change passwords, update settings, create and delete users
* Variable match day support at Football clubs.
* Other technical related duties

What we ask of you:

As an existing Service Desk Technician or as someone coming in at Entry Level, all necessary training will be given. You will be self-motivated, can keep calm under pressure and:

Essential:

* Currently working as a Service Desk Technician or have recently qualified in an NVQ level 3/ Level 4 in IT or equivalent (which level?) – NVQ Level 3
* Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
* Can work in Team as well as Independently
* Are motivated, proactive and show good initiative
* Able to priorities tasks
* Organised and able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Have good communication skills and can communicate at all levels within a friendly and professional capacity.

Desirable:

* Windows Desktop Support
* Microsoft Exchange Server and SQL Server Support
* Virtualization concepts and support including ability to troubleshoot ESXi and vSphere systems
* Ability to deploy Cisco Networking devices and troubleshooting Active directory – change passwords, update settings, create and delete users
