We're Hiring: Art Director
Cultura Creative | Sheffield/Manchester (Hybrid) | Global Production & Ethical AI Studio
Cultura Creative is a globally connected image production and ethical AI studio, built
on more than three decades of international industry leadership across London, New
York, Cologne and Los Angeles.
We're young in structure, fast-moving and building something meaningful,
combining global experience with cultural intelligence and commercial clarity.
From premium brand campaigns to large-scale ethical AI datasets, we create work
that performs in the market and stands up culturally.
Now we're looking for an Art Director who wants to grow with us.
Art Director (Freelance to Start)
This is an opportunity for a visually strong, ambitious Art Director ready to step into
bigger responsibility.
You might be mid-weight or emerging senior — but you're hungry, capable and ready
to lead.
This role will begin on a project basis, with strong potential for ongoing collaboration
as our production slate expands.
What You'll Do
* Develop visual concepts for photography and video
* Build mood boards and visual systems that feel coherent and intentional
* Direct shoots alongside photographers and production teams
* Contribute to the visual direction of ethical AI datasets
* Work closely with casting to ensure authenticity and nuance
* You'll need to think creatively but also practically.
We're a studio. We build. We deliver. We make work that functions commercially.
What We're Looking For
* A strong portfolio (editorial, campaign, portrait or branded content)
* A sharp eye for detail, tone and composition
* Confidence on set without ego
* Cultural awareness and sensitivity
* Interest in how AI is changing image-making
* Energy, initiative and solutions thinking
* You don't need 20 years in the industry. You do need judgment, taste and the drive
to grow.
* Experience in premium brand, editorial or stock/licensing environments is a plus
but not essential if your work shows visual literacy and strength.
Location
Sheffield preferred, Manchester or London considered. Hybrid working.
Why This Is Interesting
* You'll help shape real visual systems — not just one-off shoots
* You'll be part of building a studio with international reach
* You'll gain meaningful responsibility quickly
* This isn't an agency cog role. It's a chance to build something.
If that excites you, we'd love to see your portfolio.
