Where will you be working?
This role will be within ourwater and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
The Commissioning Engineer will lead the commissioning, testing, and optimisation of Yorkshire Water assets across clean and wastewater sites. They will develop commissioning plans, ensure compliance with technical standards, coordinate contractors, conduct on-site inspections, review documentation, complete performance tests, and resolve technical issues. The role includes supporting handover to operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, driving quality, and providing clear reporting to project managers.
Travel across regional sites will be required.
What youll bring HNC/HND or degree in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering
Proven commissioning experience in water, utilities, or process industries
A passion for promoting a safe and compliant working environment (SHEQ)Thorough knowledgeofCDMregulations
Strong understanding of ICA systems and site safety
Ability to interpret technical documentation and commissioning plans
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Confident working independently across multiple sites
Full UK driving licence
