The role
We’re looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Private Client Department. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, discreet, and enjoys working closely with clients and fee earners on matters such as Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration.
You will be a key part of our team — your work will help ensure clients feel supported, informed, and confident, and you’ll contribute to the efficient, polished delivery of our legal services.
What you’ll do (highlights):
* Provide first-class secretarial and admin support (audio typing, document preparation,
* Handle client communications with warmth, professionalism, and empathy
* Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and assist with travel and logistics
* Prepare client files, maintain up-to-date records, and ensure compliance with file protocols
* Assist in the preparation and administration of Wills, Probate, LPAs, and Court of Protection matters
* Support billing, basic financial admin, and day-to-day office tasks
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience as a Private Client Legal Secretary (other legal experience considered).
* Fast, accurate typing and audio-typing skills
* Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication, with a friendly, professional manner
* Discretion, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality
* Comfortable with technology — Microsoft Office, case management software (or the willingness to learn)
