Role: Junior Estimator
Location: Chesterfield

We’re looking for a Junior Estimator who will support our Custom Solar team in delivering high‑quality, accurate estimating services across our Power and Grid business unit.
Role Responsibilities
* Support the Estimating team with administrative and project‑related tasks.
* Assist in preparing estimates for tender submissions using drawings, specifications, and site information.
* Help prepare Bills of Quantities and measured take‑offs.
* Liaise with project managers, procurement, commercial, and design teams.
* Research and analyse costs for materials, plant, and subcontractors.
* Obtain quotations from subcontractors for packages of work.
* Contribute to weekly commercial meetings.
* Conduct site visits with the wider commercial team where required.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with internal processes and governance.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
* Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills.
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Previous experience in a supporting role within an Estimating team.
