DHU Healthcare is looking for a driven and dynamic Practice Manager to join our Primary Care team at Buxton Medical Practice, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping service delivery and supporting exceptional patient care.

Contract: Permanent - part-time
Hours: 22.5 hours
Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 (Band 6.0 - Band 6.3) depending on experience

What Your Typical Day Looks Like:
Overseeing day-to-day operations of the practice to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe service delivery
Leading a team of administrative staff, fostering a positive culture and high levels of performance
Ensuring compliance with NHS regulations, CQC standards, GDPR, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
Managing finances, budgets, and NHS claims, including QOF and Enhanced Services
Working closely with DHU’s leadership and PCN partners to deliver innovative care models
Supporting digital transformation and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Maintaining robust governance systems and patient engagement through PPGs and feedback channels
Coordinating training, appraisals, and HR processes in collaboration with internal teams
To Be a Successful Practice Manager, You’ll Need:
Significant experience in a senior management role within a GP surgery or healthcare setting
Deep understanding of NHS structures, QOF, PCNs, and contractual requirements
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in clinical systems, Microsoft Office, and practice management software
Experience managing CQC inspections and quality improvement plans
Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of ARRS roles, IIF, and other national initiatives
