DXA Service Lead

We are seeking a motivated and experienced DXA Service Lead to lead and develop our DXA service at NDDH. This is an exciting opportunity for a radiographer or other qualified professional with specialist expertise in bone densitometry to take on a leadership role within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

More detail about the role
* Be the clinical lead for DXA scanning and reporting, ensuring high standards of patient care and technical accuracy.
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the DXA service, including scheduling, quality assurance, and liaison with clinical teams.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on osteoporosis assessment and DXA protocols.
* Support education and training initiatives, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to professional development programmes.
* Participate in service development, audits, and implementation of national guidelines (e.g. NOGG, NICE, IRMER 2017).
What Were Looking For
* HCPC-registered Radiographer or equivalent qualified registered professional with substantial experience in DXA scanning and reporting.
* Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
* Willingness to undertake further training if required (e.g. Radiation Protection Supervisor, ISCD certification).
