St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Saturday Sales Assistant to join our Yeovil Bargain Basement store. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a lively, customer-focused shop and providing a helpful, positive experience for customers throughout the day. Location: Yeovil Salary: £5,002.95 per annum Contract: Permanent, Part time Working pattern: 7.5 hours on a Saturday. There will be a need to work additional hours to cover staff leave as required. As part of our charity retail team, you’ll play a key role in generating vital income that helps us support nearly 5,000 people across Somerset every year. What can you expect to be doing? Joining the team in our Yeovil Bargain Basement Store, you will support the Shop Manager and Deputy in the day-to-day running of the shop, helping to create a friendly and welcoming experience for a steady flow of customers. Your day to day work will involve: Overseeing our busy till and handling customer transactions with a smile, providing a welcome atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back! Sorting and lifting donated goods Merchandising and creating eye-catching shop displays Following till and cash handling procedures Helping to support and motivate a team of shop volunteers Promoting the services and fundraising activities of St Margaret’s Hospice. Previous experience in a retail environment is desirable but not essential as a full induction and training programme will be provided. However, it will really help if you have: Demonstrable high standards of customer service Good communication skills.
